KASAULI (Small Hill Town)

10th November’2018

Kasauli is a small hill town in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It’s home to gabled colonial-era houses, orchards and green-roofed Christ Church, dating from the mid-19th century. At the southern edge of town, Monkey Point overlooks forests of horse chestnut and Himalayan oak. A small temple also sits atop the hill. Nearby, the Gilbert Nature Trail winds through lush green countryside rich in birdlife.

This picture was taken at Suicide Point. Just like this, there is also Lover’s Point at Kasauli. This was a one day trip. Me and my friend started in the morning and came back to our homes in the night. It is just 1 hour ride form Chandigarh. We also saw Army Performance at around 5 pm when they were bringing down the national flag to fold it.

After taking a jungle trek route on our way down, me and my friend were exhausted. We chose to trek up and down some distance to keep the journey fun filled. Other wise you don’t have to trek to visit Kasauli. It have direct roads that leads right up to the destination.
