Damdama Lake is a small lake in Haryana and was formed when a stone and earthen dam constructed by the British was commissioned for rain water harvesting in 1947. I visited this Lake twice while i was living in Gurgaon. It was a 35km ride. I have included both the visits in this single blog.

My first visit was on my bicycle. I reached Damdama Lake and then kept on pedaling for another one or 2 kilometre. There was this dense forest road which led to Aravali Mountain Range.

There was another person sitting in peace there. I became friends with him. After talking to him i got to know that he is a Commando in Indian Army. We clicked pictures, exchanged numbers and bid adieu.

Next time in the same year, i visited with my childhood friend on my motor bike. The lake was crowded that evening and there were some activities like boat ride, camel ride, shooting etc. We tooka Camel ride and did shooting. It was an adventurous experience as the Camel was walking on non flat grounds.
